List the current trends in Trailers and Horror Trailers

• C - What is the difference in how they are made?
• B - What are the reasons for these trends?
• A - What issues do these aspects have on the success or audience enjoyment of the film

Task: Deconstruct an existing Teaser Trailer for a current Horror campaign of your choice.

1. Mise en scene - setting, characters, set pieces - search for Shutterstock
2. Editing - strobes, pace, montage, jump scare, structure (b-m-e), transitions
3. Sound - drones, horns, climbing strings
4. Titles - production company, title card, billing block, release date

Task: Using your Teaser Trailer from Summer, download from Youtube and improve the work, applying the above conventions. Add in footage using Shutter Stock

If you have not shot your Summer Trailer (D grade students) use Shutter Stock to build it

Plenary: Write a commentary on the following
Narrative - Equilibrium, Disruption, Resolution
Genre - sub genre set pieces, genre trailer conventions

Prep Work: individually choose a synopsis and read the script. 

Select one that appeals and is practicable.

Print and annotate the screenplay to identify the key stock scenes and Horror moments, as well as key plot points for the Trailer. 

You will present and pitch your film next week to camera and be assessed.
