I am writing to inform you of the plan we have decided to
urgently put in place to support your son/daughter’s result for the A2 Media
Studies G324 unit.
We are rapidly approaching the internal submission and
moderation deadline for this A2 Media coursework at Easter. Having left
substantial feedback on the student’s individual blogs I am concern that no
progress has been made by some students in the last 4 weeks.
The students are working in production teams whereby their
contribution will impact on the progress of their teammate’s individual grades.
As this section is 30% of the grade for the A2 year we have agreed to run
compulsory workshops for each production team consisting of 2 hours during the
week with the Media Technician, and 1 hour myself on a Friday 4pm-5pm.
These workshops will continue for the next 5-6 weeks until the final moderation deadline at Easter.
We will be expecting students to attend these sessions to
ensure they are given a full share in the group grade, the examination board
expects that the marks towards the coursework are differentiated by evidence of
individual contribution.
